Course Description
This one-year course, validated by QQI, is particularly suited to students wishing to pursue a career in the smart business or IT sector and provides the skills required to work in a modern smart business environment.
The course is also suited to those considering pursuing a professional qualification in either IT or Business via Third Level / University.
Entry Requirements
QQI L4 or equivalent for all Level 5 courses.
If the Leaving Certificate has been completed, details should be submitted with your application.
Mature learners may be exempt from the academic requirements.
First round offers will be made in May to all eligible applicants with subsequent offers made in September.

Progression
This course leads to careers in areas such as information technology, business, software, accounting, banking, insurance, marketing, management, administration, and computing.
Many graduates continue their education in AIT or NUI Maynooth or work in professional offices, Local Government, HSE, schools, and local businesses.
Through the QQI FET Links Scheme, graduates can apply for entry into Year 1 of related Business courses in Universities and Institutes of Technology with continuity of SUSI grant / BTEI if applicable.
