Course Description
This is a one year full time course leading to professional national and internationally recognised qualifications. The course consists of intensive practical and theoretical training in the various aspects of Beauty Therapy and Nail Technology. Work experience in beauty therapy is an integral part of the course.
Students are required to both carry out and receive all treatments as part of the practical training.
Entry Requirements
QQI L4 or equivalent for all Level 5 courses.
If the Leaving Certificate has been completed, details should be submitted with your application.
Mature learners may be exempt from the academic requirements.
First round offers will be made in May to all eligible applicants with subsequent offers made in September.

Course Certification
Mullingar Community College provides training and education for ITEC (International Therapy Examination Council) Beauty Specialist Diploma and QQI (Quality qualifications Ireland Level)
Progression
Successful graduates have the opportunity to seek employment in a range of beauty and health settings, including beauty salons, health spas, leisure centres, hotels, and cruise ships. Graduates of this course have the necessary qualifications to start their own business.
